NEED TO KNOW...Be sure you've scheduled your Parent/Teacher Conference with your child's teacher the first week of November. It is a district policy that parents attend a conference in order to receive a student's first term report card. Please contact your child's teacher immediately if you do not have a conference scheduled yet. Students participating in the writing piece of the PTA Reflections Program must submit their work no later than Friday, November 5th. See enclosed form for guidelines.
Rochester Elementary School Food Drive has been a great success at our school. We've supplied local food pantries including Gerry's Food Pantry with boxfuls of food items. The food drive continues through November 12th. Please continue to send in non-perishable food items.
| WHAT'S HAPPENING...
Sign up for the Geography Bee. Classroom bees will take place in March. School finals will be May 11th. PTA Reflections Art Show will be Wednesday, November 17th from 6-8pm. An Awards Ceremony will take place at 6pm selecting one art piece from each grade to be entered in the state art show.
The Book Fair will be open in the school library November 29th through December 3rd from 9am - 2pm. There will be a special Family Night November 30th 3-6pm and a Parents Only Night December 3rd 5:30-7:30pm. Students will be able to preview books and make a wish list November 17th - 23rd. |
