Snow Data - Updated Daily

Stratton, VT - Skied here the weekend of 1/25/08.  Snow was really good- lots of man-made snow and good groomers.  No lines on Friday but very cold and windy at the top.  The Gondola was a huge plus- kept us warm and quick to get up the mountain.  Only negatives were the lack of steeps, big crowds on Saturday and the long traverses at the bottom.  Great posh little ski town with some good bars (Long Trail Ale) and restaurants (stick to pub food and stay away from the Ahi Tuna).  We were amazed the waitress didn't throw us out of the ribs place we went to- one of our colleagues was way over-served throwing food and making a scene.  He got picassoed at the end of the night.

Deer Valley, UT - Went out to Park City over MLK weekend and had a great time.  The town boasts three resorts- The Canyons, Park City Resort and Deer Valley.  We skied Deer Valley the first day- tons of great snow, good glades skiing, all high speed quads, no traverses, excellent facilities, big utah beers (3% alcohol) and dec chili.  Only problem was the lack of expert terrain, although we may not have found the good stuff - it could be there.  We didn't really search it out.  Our group had a few first time skiers, so we did a lot of blue square groomers and busted out some big spread eagles.  Saw a preggo Jessica Alba and her fiance.  Sweet.  One of my favorite spots yet.

Park City, UT - Had a nice powder day at Park City on MLK day.  Sundance Film Festival was going on, so nobody was on the mountain.  Unbelievable nobody was skiing. Didn't even get tracked out at all.  Great snow but too many traverses/flat sections and not too many steeps.  Again, we didn't go search out the bowls and we didn't do any hiking.  Would like to go back and explore the mountain some more for some of the good things.
