Hi! Thanks for checking out my homepage. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.  I work as a Lab Technician. I'm a Math Geek AND a Computer Geek. I love music (my iPod is completely full) and I read probably more than is healthy. Life has turned out to be a strange experience for me, sometimes very strange and wonderful, other times, not so much.

Interests & Hobbies

Hiking

I like to go hiking in and around the Las Vegas Valley, and at Lake Mead National Park. It's lucky for me that I happen to live just outside the entrance, and also like camping there as much as I can.

Linux & Computing

I have been using Linux for years, ever since I was at Berkeley. My main distro for entertainment and general use is Ubuntu Linux, and for programming and more serious computer use I use Slackware. It is my dream to build a beowulf cluster in the near future, probably comprised of eight-ten 64-bit quad-cores. most likely it will run Slackware.

The Game of GO

This is an ancient chinese game, it is easy to learn but takes a lifetime to master. I am currently somehwere in the 7-10 kyu range on the KGS go server. I currently run the local Las Vegas Go Club.

Books

I am a bibliophile, every time I have to move I go through a period of insanity, realizing I have too many books, and that I have to get rid of some, but I'm like a parent trying to decide which of my children the barbarians should kill.
