Montrose - Denver - 265miles Temp - 61F morn, 43F midday, 57F afternoon. Riding - 0700 - 1300 Sights - Colorado Today was as always an early start, but with very mixed feelings. This would be my last day riding with Uncle Phil and Andy (until the next time), and as sad as that was the thought of having a rest off the bike tomorrow was also a welcome thought. The highest road I have ever ridden over. Two weeks of flies from assorted States. And the bike goes back to the hire shop. For anybody who is still reading at this point........WELL DONE!. Tonight was to be a sad meal with us all saying goodbye. During the meal we had 15 days of reminiscing to do about the trip, and not one of us had a bad thing to say about it or would have changed a single thing about it (well maybe the Bike Hire company). This had not physically been an easy holiday, with long days in the saddle, and would have been a lot easier done over a longer time. But we didnt have the luxury of being able to take any longer. It is a trip I would probably not recommend to many other people to do. But this was a holiday we all went into knowing what we were letting ourselves in for, and personally I would not have wanted to do it any other way. For all the ribbing I have given Uncle Phil throughout these pages a better guide or riding companion I could not have wished for. A special thanks also to Andy for also being a great riding companion, and hopefully it will not be our last trip together. I have now probably ridden in excess of 20,000miles on bike trips with Uncle Phil, not bad for two people who live 8000miles away from each other. It was great to meet so many faces who were only names on an Internet forum before this trip, and thanks for the hospitality shown by Don and Vijay for accommodating us for a few nights.
