Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation

The Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation was founded by a group of Brawley High School graduates who decided after their 10th reunion to give back to the community by supporting the future of young women graduating from Brawley Union High School. In addition, it was decided at least one scholarship each year should be given to a graduate of Desert Valley High School. What began as a small campaign by the class of 1984 has grown into a large organization supported by the many friends, family and neighbors of B.U.H.S. Since 1995, we have awarded $157,200 in scholarships to 143 deserving young women.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation. We are beyond grateful for your support, allowing us to grant scholarships to so many amazing senior women in the Brawley Union High School district. We could not be more proud of the support our organization has received and the level of achievement attained by our recipients. We are looking forward to the next generation of Wildcat Women joining our ranks.

Our organization has obtained 501(c)3 not-for-profit status from the IRS. So your contribution is 100% tax-deductible. Our donor ranks have continued to grow over the years and the educational achievements of the women we have supported to date are the way you, and we, can measure the success of our efforts.

Who We Are

Wildcat Women are friends, daughters, sisters, wives, mothers, fathers, brothers, sons, and husbands of women who share the great good fortune of graduating from Brawley Union High School.

Mission Statement

To provide positive role models for girls and encourage self-sufficiency in women. To promote equity in education and the workplace by annually offering scholarship support to senior women of the Brawley Union High School District. To encourage lifelong learning for all persons.
