Welcome to Wikis in Education!

What is a Wiki?
A wiki is a collaborative website that enables users to quickly create, edit, and fill web pages with information and media. They are signifcant because little to no coding abilities are necessary in order to participate. Basic web browsing and word processing skills are enough.

Wikis track changes, so you never have to fear editing yours or someone else's work, as it is possible to revert to an old version of a page, or merge a hybrid of two versions of a page.

Commenting is enabled at the bottom of each page as well, to facilitate discussions ABOUT a page without changing the page itself!

The most important things to remember about Wikis are these three actions:
  1. Edit
  2. Write
  3. Save
That is, on any page in a wiki you can click "Edit" and immediately begin adding, changing, or removing content. Once you are done, you click "Save" and your changes are saved.

There is more to learn, but that is the core of using a Wiki.
