Welcome English Instructors!

This site is a repository for lesson plans for college level English classes, specifically freshman composition and basic reading and writing courses. It's also a place to ask for and receive advice on a variety of subjects. I created this site while getting my MA in Composition and Reading at San Francisco State University as a way of archiving all the great lesson plans my colleagues created as apart of our training, many of which address highly specific issues, from grammar instruction in a linguistically diverse classroom to tutorials in plagiarism-avoidance.

DIRECTIONS FOR USING THIS SITE

You'll have to forgive me, but I'm new to wiki site creation, so I'm sure this isn't the most efficient way to go about this. Feel free to advise me (see message box to the right). For now the way this works is that you click on "Lesson Plans" in the lefthand sidebar. Next, at the bottom of the screen, select the course type of your choice. From there you can upload, download, or comment on lesson plans. If you wish to upload a file, please follow the simple directions. Each file gets its own page so that any comments associated with the file show up next to it.

  • Pedagogy for the Learning Disabled We didn't cover this in the Masters program at SFSU. Does anyone know a good source of information on the subject?
