We are an enthusiastic American Square Dance Club based at the Community Hall in Market Weighton in the
BEAUTIFUL East Riding of Yorkshire.
 Come along and have a go ! We are a friendly bunch whose priority is fun , dance and conversation .We meet most Friday nights in the Market Weighton Community Hall at 7.30 pm until 10.00pm.
Our caller is Tony Hunt and he will guide you clearly through the steps and in no time you will be dancing as well (or as badly) as the rest of us ! Have no fear for at our club you don't have to dress up and look like a cowboy or cowgirl . Just arrive in normal casual gear.
At first sight this is a pointless pastime ,but it isn't! You will meet new people and get away from that boring TV on Friday nights.There are loads of local dances to go to it and you will find it helps to keep you fit and exercises the grey matter .Our members come from Pocklington, Market Weighton, Driffield, Beverley, and as far away as Hull , Scarborough, and York ! We have welcomed groups from Australia and Germany so if you are arriving by ferry in Hull we are only 50 kilometers away.If you are visiting York we are only about 30 kilometers.
Without a doubt we are one of the most friendly clubs in the world so come along have a great laugh and meet loads of new people ! Alcohol only causes even more confusion than is normal in this pastime so it is best avoided , you will however get a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits .There is also the chance to win in our weekly raffle!
