Wicker Chairs - Types and Choices

Wicker chairs make a great addition for any outdoor living area. With their classic look and multitude of styles, they are a popular choice for homeowners everywhere. There are a few different types of wicker seating. There are regular chairs, which come with or without arms. The ones without arms are usually a little less expensive. Couches and loveseats are also available. Wicker sets usually include accessory pieces such as tables and sometimes ottomans.

Unless purchased used, wicker can be more expensive than most homeowners expect. A nice furniture set usually starts at over $1000.00. A more inexpensive option is synthetic wicker. Synthetic wicker made with a resin base. It is more durable than natural wicker, and can last through many seasons of outdoor weather.

Some people like to use wicker furniture indoors. It is commonly used in sunrooms, but it is sometimes used for living room furniture. Some homeowners like to purchase single pieces to add as accents to rooms. A common choice for this purpose is storage units such as dressers. Some like to choose rocking chairs as additions to their living room, or end tables to compliment their existing furniture.
