This year will be an exciting and challenging year for me as the Multimedia Information Specialist at two wonderful schools, West Hills and Kitsap Lake. Bremerton School District has purchased new computers for all elementary schools. They will be installed in the next couple of months. I look forward to teaching students how to be efficient and effective users of ideas and information, using technology as a tool for learning.
During first few weeks of "Computer Class", students will be learning how computers work, how to behave in computer class and how to be responsible digital citizens. As the year progresses, each grade will work on projects that integrate with classroom themes and the state technology standards. (To view standards, click on these links)
Students will be carefully supervised as they explore the World Wide Web and create original projects to showcase on this web site.
This week we will be investigating Math Game web sites with the Kinders and 1st graders. Here is an example.
