Whitewalls Cottage, Mithian, Cornwall
This pretty 18th century Grade II Listed cob and thatch cottage stands at the end of a row of three and is situated in the very heart of the peaceful and picturesque conservation village of Mithian. Reputedly one of the oldest villages in Cornwall, it has a cluster of thatched cottages together with a 16th-century inn with Elizabethan courtyard.
As this idyllic village is only just over a 5 minute drive from the A30 it is perfectly located for exploring all parts of Cornwall from the county border to Land's End and The Lizard. Historic houses and gardens and Cornwall's major attractions such as the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Tate Gallery in St. Ives, and St.Michael's Mount, are all within an hour's drive by car.
Mithian is 2 miles from the historic coastal village of St Agnes which offers the renowned surfing beaches of Trevaunance Cove and Chapel Porth. St Agnes has a good array of local shops for daily supplies. Cornwall's county town, Truro, is just 7 miles with its broad range of shops, restaurants and cinema. St Agnes is located within the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2006.
