Whitehouse Farm caravan site opened in March 2011 and caters for up to 5 caravans or camper vans per night. It is in a secluded field in the hamlet of Heathcote about 1 mile from Hartington. The Tissington Trail is less than 200m away which is brilliant for cycling (cycle hire at Parsley Hay is less than 2 miles away) or walking on and there are many walks "from the gate".Please check our main website at www.whitehousefarmbarn.co.uk for more detailed information about the area.We are also only about 10 miles from The Monsall Trail which follows the path of the former Midland Railway from
Blackwell Mill cottages to Coombs Viaduct, about 1km past the former
Bakewell station - a distance of about 20km. For the most part the trail
follows the path of the River Wye, which means it offers some
spectacular scenery.
The site is a "Certificated Location" linked to The Caravan Club and has electrics, level pitches, chemical toilet disposal, grey water disposal,fresh water and rubbish disposal. We can take a maximum of 5 caravan club members caravans or camper vans each night.

* NB: It depends on how many & what appliances you use, but
the average expenditure on electricity, excluding the use of electric
heaters, can be about £2 - £3 per night.Please note using electricity for heating is about 3 times as expensive as using gas whether at home or in your caravan. If the weather is very cold and you use an electric heater please be honest and pay a little bit extra to cover our electricity costs. This Spring when it was cold 2 caravans used £25 of electricty in one night!!

We have had to do this due to people booking 1 night and preventing others coming for the full weekend. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.
