Eleventh Grade - American Literature ePortfolio
Students showcase their writing in an online portfolio. Technical instruction is provided on the use of Google Sites and Google Docs. Students identify the Common Core State Standards and resources used to develop portfolio artifacts.

Tenth Grade - Role of Government Persuasive Research Paper
Students are instructed in use of library databases to locate articles with relevant and sufficient evidence to support arguments in their paper. Information is provided on MLA formatting for the research paper, including works cited entries and in-text citations.

Honors Ninth Grade Lit - Literary Criticism
Students use critical literary articles from books and online research databases to develop and support a thesis in a fully developed literary research paper.  Instruction is provided on MLA in-text citations and works cited page.

Students use books, electronic databaes, and Web sources to research a figure from Greek/Roman Mythology, and write an MLA formatted paper.  A mask representing the mythological figure must be produced and presented to the class along with research.

Ninth Grade World Geography - Travel Brochure
Students are instructed in the use of CultureGrams and other Wheeler Library information resources to create a tri-fold brochure using Microsoft Publisher software and prepare a brief oral presentation using Power Point.

Students receive instruction on the use of mypyramid.gov and other health and fitness information sources, to produce promotional materials for a 'client' seeking exercise and nutrition plans to meet personal fitness goals.
