Project Timeline

Phase 1: Pontoon Construction

Day #1

Cutting foam boards to the correct length.

Using 3M Super 77 spray adhesive to glue the foam boards together.

Foam boards were left overnight to set.

Day #2

Testing the hot wire cutter that Jeff built. Much cleaner than a saw.

The hot wire cuts through the foam without any problem.

Day #3

After cutting the big foam board in two, we started shaping the pontoon tips.

Halfway through one tip.

One pontoon tip is finished.

Day #4

Shaping the pontoons by sanding with 120 paper.

Lovely day for sanding.

It's starting to look like a boat.

It looks like a boat from this angle too.
