Cadet Week is mainly about racing but not entirely and it is certainly not very serious racing. Racing gives us a reason to sail and it helps us to improve our sailing. At the end of each day there are prizes and at the end of the week there are more prizes. Not all the prizes are for sailing, some are just for being helpful or being a good sport.
Don't worry if you've never raced before, you could join up with someone who has raced a little bit and be their crew in a two-man boat. If this doesn't suit you then each day there will be a little explanation of some of the rules so that each time you go out sailing your racing skills will get better and better.
