Save the Date! WFU Demon Drag will be Friday, February 5th, 2010! Meetings this year so far...
- We had a discussion centered around Bisexuality: The Facts and Fictions,
led by President Jared and Secretary Kelly. Everyone is welcome; this
is the perfect opportunity to have your questions answered about
bisexuality and to dispel some myths about the oft-debated sexual
identity. Topics will include the nature of bisexuality, the specific
obstacles bisexuals face, and the worst reactions to give when a friend
comes out as bisexual. Like always--Wednesday (November 11) at 8 pm in
the lounge, Benson 218!
- Wednesday, November 4th - we will meet at 7pm in the GSSA Lounge (Benson 218) to hold elections for the position of Treasurer, and then we will attend the 7:30 show of "Sonnets for an Old Century" in the MainStage of Scales. This brilliant play is a series of monologues of characters who have one last chance to talk about their lives and shouldn't last much longer than an hour. Please send an e-mail to Kelly Bernhardt (bernka6@wfu.edu) if you plan on attending so that she can purchase your ticket.
- Wednesday, October 28th - GSSA will be decorating Halloween
cookies while watching a Halloween movie and wearing AWESOME Halloween
costumes. GSSA Lounge (Benson 218) at 8pm.
- Friday, October 23rd - GSSA will be having an Ally dinner with pizza
and friends at 6pm (location Lower Auditorium of Wingate Hall.) We're expecting representatives from many
organizations on campus to show their support and learn about the importance of
allies. There will be pizza--hope to see
you there!).
- Wednesday, October 21st - GSSA will be going out to dinner at
Athena's Greek Taverna. Space is
limited, so please RSVP to Kelly if you intend to come. We will meet in the lounge at 6:45. Please also let us know if you are willing
and able to drive!
- Wednesday, October 14th - GSSA will be celebrating Coming Out
Day in the Wake Forest way--those who are comfortable doing so will share the
stories of when they came out, and there will be delicious cookies. We hope to see you all there! It will be in the GSSA Lounge (Benson 218) at 8pm.
- Saturday, October 10th, GSSA will be having a Homecoming
Tea Party in the GSSA lounge (Benson 218) from 1pm to 3:30pm. We would love for you to stop by, enjoy some
tea, coffee, or snacks, and enjoy the company of everyone who is excited for
homecoming!
