When the mood and the muse strike (perhaps one in the same) I like to write poetry. Lyrical writing seems on the decline, or is corrupted with modern poetry that is random gibberish strung together that is applauded and celebrated as innovative or a tour de force. I'm a classicist of poetry, writing poetry that rhymes, has meter, and expresses thoughts, ideas, and concepts for an underlying meaningful theme to the reader. Poems I have written:
