W.F.A SOMERSET

The Somerset Branch of the Western Front Association was created in June 2000.

We are allied to our national association

The Western Front Association was formed in 1980 to maintain interest in the period 1914-1918, to perpetuate the memory, courage and comradeship of those on all sides who served their countries in France and Flanders and their own countries during the Great War. It does not seek to glorify war, and is non-political.

We meet on a monthly basis at:

OTHERY VILLAGE HALL

this is situated on the main street in the village of Othery which can be found on the A361 Taunton to Street Road.

Our  meetings are held on the second Wednesday
of each month and commence at 7.45pm

(We do not meet in August or December)

The cost of attendance is £4 purely to cover speakers costs and the hall hire fees.

We welcome any person who has an interest in the Great War 1914-1918.

Membership of the main association is not required for attendance at our meetings.  However we would encourage those who do attend to consider joining our national body.
