One of the main components of the Google application process is demonstrating community support for the project. If you would like to see Google and Morgantown partner on this project, here’s what we are asking EVERYONE to do:
Nominate Morgantown. Google has created a simple, five minute nomination for where businesses, residents and organizations can express their support for this project to come to their town. Click the link to Nominate Morgantown for Google High-Speed Internet. You will need a Google login to nominate. If you do not have a Google ID, you will be prompted to sign up for one. |
Tell us what you would do with a gigabit. Create a short video answering the question,“What would you do with faster Internet?” If you can’t make a video, take a picture holding up a card with your answer on it. Or, you can have your students draw a picture answering the same question. We’ll use them all to build our proposal to Google. If you have a YouTube account, you can upload your videos directly to our Video Portal. If not, please send all of these items to info@cityofmorgantown.org or tell us your idea in our Google Moderator. |
Join the conversation. Join us on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. You can access these links on the WeWantAGig.com website. |
Spread the word. Tell others about our application and urge them to help! |
