We've Submitted our Application! On Friday, March 26, 2010, Morgantown submitted its application to Google for high-speed Internet access. We appreciate the overwhelming support of our residents and community members and look forward to continuing our efforts to bring much needed high-speed Internet to Morgantown. The Background
Google is planning to launch an experiment that they hope will make Internet access better and faster for everyone. They plan to test ultra-high speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations across the country that will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today, over 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home connections.
Our Plan
Morgantown has aggressively developed a strong local government application to be one of those communities to enhance our already strong Healthcare, Education, and Internet computing opportunities. |
