We the People - 43rd District Tea Party Patriots of southeastern Connecticut subscribe to the Core Principles of the Tea Party Patriots:
Fiscal Responsibility Constitutionally Limited Government Free Markets Government has spent money as never before, and controlled businesses that they have no right to control.
We expect our representatives, both state and national, to be accountable to "We the People." We will support candidates who are in harmony with our views and work to replace those who are leading this country down the wrong path. Although we do not endorse specific candidates, we individually support and work for candidates of our choice.
We the People - 43rd District Tea Party Patriots is the result of merging the "We the People" group of the Mystic area with the 43rd District Tea Party Patriots. This has given us a membership of over 200 people and growing. Although many of our members are from state house district 43 (Stonington and North Stonington), we welcome like-minded citizens from all over southeastern Connecticut.
Our activities include: rallies (both locally and state-wide); letter writing to representatives and local newspapers; participating in the Westerly-Pawcatuck Columbus Day Parade; meetings to discuss current political events and responses; guest speakers; a booth at the North Stonington Fair; hosting the “Making of America” seminar; and, most recently, appearing on and assisting with the cable access show “Conservative Corner” which airs weekly on local cable access in southeastern CT.
