Our two sponsored Young Arts events in 2008 were the Quartz Arts Festival which was in its 4th year and ran from the 8th to the 18th October and the Somerset Young Artists Competition 2008/9. Everyone is welcome to visit Quartz and entrance is free. Our goal is to create an artistic event at the highest professional and creative level, giving visitors and pupils an enriching and stimulating experience., Most of the art and sculpture will be for sale, much of it highly affordable. There is an excellent coffee shop which will be serving drinks, cakes and light lunches throught the day. Classical pianist Tom Poster was a great success at Quartz two years ago and appeared again in 2008 with a new programme. This was a WSDFAS sponsored event with a reception for WSDFAS members, Nadfas members and their guests in the art gallery prior to the performance.
