Welcome to the WUMC History Book Preview  April 27th, 2012 - Announcing the Family Histories Workshop You are cordially invited to attend a workshop on Family Histories to be held on Sunday afternoon - May 6 2012, at 4:00 pm in the Church Fellowship Hall. The workshop is being held to assist anyone who is interested in having a brief biographical sketch or family history article included in the upcoming release of the History of Weston United Methodist Church – 175th Anniversary Edition. The workshop agenda includes a short background on the History Book Project, a review of general guidelines and a break-out session with hands-on assistance in the development of your own family history article. Refreshments will be available. As the deadline for article submission approaches, this workshop provides a simple way to insure that you and your family are a part of this once in a lifetime opportunity to be included in the published history of our church. March 17th, 2012 - Requesting the submission of Family History - Biographical Sketch If you have indicated by survey that you intend to submit a family history or biographical sketch for inclusion in the history book, you are encouraged to do so soon. To assist in this a "Family History - Biographical Sketch Template" has been added to the listing of documents available for download below. February 3rd, 2012 - Initial Announcement for Visitors Approximately half of the book will consist of the 175-year history of the Church itself, and about half will be devoted to family histories. Every Church family will be allocated one-half page of free space for a family history and a photograph (additional space is available, if needed). Please
contact the Church if your family records include information or photos
about the Church and the people who were involved in Church activities appropriate for inclusion in the book, or if you have comments or
suggestions about other sources of historical information about the
