West Midlands Cycling is an idea of linking local towns via mainly off road cycle routes. We have a fixed point in each town to make it easy to join routes together. Showcasing the off road network for cycling we have in the West Midlands area. These routes are not always the quickest routes from point to point, but they are the most off road way. Using canals, old railways, dedicated cycling pathways and cycle lanes. Find your nearest starting point from the list below and get on the network....

SHROPSHIRE UNION CANAL

We have added a new Canal guide. The Shropshire Union Canal, although this canal runs from Pendeford to Ellesmere Port, we have only added information between Pendeford and Gnosall, but on the google map the whole of the canal is shown.
ROUTE UNDER DEVELOPMENT:

I was looking into a route from Fazeley to Lichfield which can be adapted from Tamworth too, I have drawn up a map, trying to keep off the road as much as possible, Any input would be appreciated. WMCYCLING@AOL.COM
NEW TAMWORTH SECTION ADDED:

We have added a new Tamworth section and as Tamworth has many off road cycle routes throughout the South of the Town we have added a new Local section. The first town to get this.

After a Sunday cycle I posted a blog and video about the short cycle lane that runs alongside the A463 Black Country Route near Bilston.
