Feb. 24 and 25 (Wednesday and Thursday), all day each day
What?
With momentum growing to "fix and pass" the Healthcare Reform Bill we will be aiming to provide additional motivation for our lazy, chickenshit, corrupt, and otherwise good-for-nothing Congress to get some work done for the people who pay their salaries. We are about sick of seeing nothing get done except endless jabber, we would like to see them actually finish this Health Care Bill so we can move on to other things, like getting some jobs already and perhaps saving our planet from the scourge of fossil fuel pollution, et cetera.
Thus, we will set up a table(s) near UCLA to spread our perspective and ask passers-by to join us in calling the lazy bums and give them a piece of our minds.
(Specifically we will be asking Senators to commit to passing a health reform "sidecar" fix to make their bill acceptable to the House, if need by through using "reconciliation" -- otherwise known as a "Majority Vote" if they haven't forgotten what that means over there in Washington yet. And, if they can muster the additional sack, we'll also demand they throw in that Public Option that our all too spineless President hyped to us endlessly on the campaign trail and that oh, only about 59% of the American people still support).
Even more specifically, we will stand around making phone calls. We will make dozens, then hundreds, then thousands of phone calls to Congress and we will also make thousands of phone calls to other Folks Like Us™ to get them fired up and promise to call their Congressidiots and give them a piece of their minds too.
