All rowers: erging begins Monday, Nov 2nd.  Erging is mandatory.  If you are doing another sport during the winter, but plan on rowing this spring, please let your coach know. If you need to miss erging you must let your coach know IN ADVANCE.

The cost for erging is $100, payable to Westerville Crew.  This covers erging for four months.  We have to pay rent at the erging facility.  The fees are due by Nov 15th.   Please give checks to Trish at erging. There will be no lifting this winter.

 

Brand new rowers, please also bring a completed waiver (see attachments below).  You cannot erg without a completed waiver. This is if you have NEVER rowered before.

 

Coxswains do not have to pay, UNLESS THEY ARE PLANNING ON ERGING.  Then they must also pay $100..

 

Parents: Parents can erg this winter; however, the $100 must also be paid and parents must erg during the time period 5:30 - 6:40ish (the rule is parents can stay as long as kids are there erging.  Once the kids are gone, Matt will lock up).  Matt will not wait around while a parent finishes their workout.  The rowers are usually finished by 6:40.

 

Erging schedule: 

    Varsity/JV: Monday thru Thursday 5:00 - 7:00pm (will realistically be finished around 6:40) Friday 5:00 - 6:30pm (will be finished around 6:15)

    Novices: Monday thru Thursday 5:00 - 7:00pm (will realistically be finished around 6:40)  ; Friday 5:00 - 6:30pm (optional) (will be finished around 6:15)

 

A novice is one who has rowed ONE or season.  Novices who have rowed two seasons are considered Varsity/JV
