CONGRATULATIONS Nationals rowers! Westerville Crew qualified six boats to row at the 2009 U.S.. Rowing Youth Nationals Championships. The regatta was held at Harsha lake, Cincinnati, OH last weekend. 142 teams from 114 cities in the U.S. participated. The Men's Lightweight 8+ placed 8th, the Women's Varsity 8+ placed 12th and the Women's Lightweight 8+ placed 14th in the nation.
6/9: THE HEAT SHEETS ARE POSTED on www.racetrak.com 6/9: if you have not already turned in your fees for Nationals, please send a check with rower for $134 ($91 for regatta fees and $43 for food). Rowers should also already have renewed or obtained individual memeberships to USRowing (instructions below).

Congratulations for qualifying to row at the 2009 Youth National Championships! Please share this email with your parents. We have not put together the distribution list for the parents yet. All rowers are on their own with regards to obtaining a hotel room. Mrs Grandjean has blocked several rooms. Please have your parents book your rooms IMMEDIATELY! The hotel rooms are almost all booked. Elizabeth.Watts@duke-energy.com The following information is part of the financial end of Nationals. There are a few things that you need to know. You must have an individual new or renewed membership to US Rowing before Nationals. If you had a membership last year, you will need to renew it. The cost is $45. Please go to: http://www.usrowing.org/join_renew/membershipoptions/index.aspx to join or renew.The cost per rower for the regatta (which includes the entry fees, insurance fees, water, Gatorade, gas for hauling the trailer and food trailer, hotel for Matt & Trish) is $91. Please make checks payable to Westerville Crew and turn in by Friday, 6/5. Food expenses will be separate. The food expenses for breakfast and lunch have been figured out by the food coordinators and assessed to each family. The cost per rower for the food is $43.
