Meetings

Interested in getting involved in what else we can do to improve the woods? Our last planning meeting was at our Annual General Meeting Thursday the 23rd FEbruary , minutes attached.
We hold regular volunteer days to improve the woods for wildlife. Volunteers have planted over 1000 bulbs and wildflowers, cleared footpaths, invasive species and ditches and put up bird and bat boxes. Three-quarters of the bird boxes put up last winter were used - so we hope to have at least the same success rate this spring!

Information about volunteer days is posted below.

We also hold planning meetings every few months - and everyone is welcome to come along and help develop our future plans. Current projects include:
  • delivering leaflets
  • developing links with Westerton Primary School
  • planning events for the spring and summer
  • surveying and recording wildlife in the woods
