For those travelling from far afield it is worth checking if there are flights from your local airport to Southampton.  Southampton Airport Parkway Station is immediately adjacent to the airport with regular trains to Dorchester.  

Parking, as in all hospitals, is quite difficult but there is a Pay and Display Car Park on the site, early parking is recommended as the car park becomes quite congested by 9.00 am.  The fee of £6 per day must be paid on the day.  The car park ticket machines will only take coins not notes.
