Do you enjoy discussion and debate with others who are passionate about ideas, enjoy learning something new and challenging your own assumptions, but strictly avoid partisan rhetoric and name calling?


Well, then, you're our kind of discussion buddy!

We are forming a group for monthly enjoyable serious discussion around ideas and current debates in a comfortable environment (home or quiet restaurant). Sometimes we will use an article or a book to kick off the conversation. Sometimes we'll just announce a theme (for example, "Why People (Don't) Vote").  We are looking to set a tone of intellectual enjoyment -- perhaps more heady than your average book club, but less drama and footnotes than your average graduate school seminar.  Sound like your thing?  Please join us.
