Welcome to West Carleton Garden Club and Horticultural Society

We welcome membership by everyone from the novice to the master gardener.  Even if you do not have a garden, but enjoy a love of gardens, the outdoors and common-mined people, you will find something and.or someone of interest for you at our monthly meetings and activities.

The WCGC is one of over 285 societies in Ontario which are part of the Ontario Horticultural Association (OHA).  Formed in 1989, the goals of this community-building club are to encourage interest and improvement in the practice of horticulture by:

  • Organizing social events, including monthly meetings.
  • Providing information and exchanging gardening ideas
  • Encouraging the planting of trees, shrubs and flowers
  • Promoting beautification projects
  • Organizing horticultural exhibits, competitions and field trips
  • Distributing seeds, plants, bulbs and flowers among members
  • Distributing information and communicating with the public
