Bio Wendy Glauser is a freelance journalist and current Master’s student in political science at York University in Toronto, Canada. Her articles have been published in Canadian and international newspapers and magazines, including The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, the Walrus, the Canadian Medical Association Journal, The Medical Post, This, Homemakers, Canadian Living, World Politics Review, The Daily Monitor (Uganda) and The Independent (Uganda). She also has experience editing magazines and newsletters and researching for a television documentary production company. Her academic research and journalism focuses on health and human rights issues. She has lived and worked as a reporter in Canada, Uganda and Ethiopia. For her latest project, Wendy is in Malawi to write about the work of Dignitas International, a Canadian NGO implementing a community-based health care model.
