WELCOME TO MY WORLD OF THE WEB! Since the Internet came into existence, the amount of information is amazing. It contains almost all we need to know. Opinions on this, facts on that. My World of the Web is about picking out a few interesting elements - a snapshot of life from the Internet - and giving them a little extra publicity and additional thoughts and comments. This is an eclectic mix of travel experiences, culinery and cooking interests, food and wine, ideas that come to mind, and the generally offbeat things that many of us may have missed or would possibly like to do.
CHEESECAKE, ANYBODY? How many different versions of cheesecake are there? Seems there are hundreds from as many countries! From Dutch to Jewish to Italian cheesecakecakes. Once tasted, a good cheesecake is never forgotten. The regular frozen delight of a stodgy base topped with a sticky blackcurrant "jam" is a popular offering in Britain but is hardly a representative for the delicacy.
