November 2009 saw the first in a planned anual fundraiser for Camberley Judo Club;  the "Judo Ashes" saw the famous judo club in action aginst the 2009 Australian World Team at the Pennyhill park hotel and spa; amongst those in action was 7 x World Medalist Karina Bryant of Camberley Judo Club. 

This year promises to be even bigger with an expeced audience of 300 at a black tie event; former Wales and GB International Luke Preston is the head coach of Camberley Judo Club and this years annual fundraiser will involve a team match between members of the Camberley Judo Club and members of the Welsh Judo National Team coached by Wales and GB International, Craig Ewers; prospective teams will consist of 5 men and 3 women and the event will be held at the South Lodge Hotel.

In addition to the sports displays and judo matches there will be a champagne reception and gala dinner; this promises to be a great evening of entertainment not be missed and tables will be available for the event closer to the time.
