Your friends can write short articles about Iranian cities and I'll ask my students to learn about your country Also, what country are you interested in visiting some day? I have students from Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Switzerland... and other countries... They can make friends with you and ask you questions about Iran.

Second Project:  Karim
Visit Karim's facebook (become his "friend")
karim-inclusives@hotmail.de
Study his photos.  When Karim comes to Fort Lauderdale, send him recommendations.  Send him invitations to visit your city.

Look at these beautiful mountains.

What questions can you ask Karim?

How did he spend his time in Fort Lauderdale?

What are his plans?

Where did he travel with John Lipkin (see Project number 5)

============================================

You can become a STUDENT AMBASSADOR

I am an English Teacher in Fort Lauderdale and I invite you to visit my web site and ask for a free 15-minute lesson.  You just need to follow these steps.
a)  send me an email to  FreeEnglishLessons@gmail.com and ask for a SPECIAL CODE (just for you)
b)  ask 10 friends to write to me (they can become my friends on ORKUT or Facebook or vKontakte or other social networks).   After they make me "a friend," they can send me a short message with the CODE in the subject of the message.
c)  when I receive 10 email messages with YOUR SPECIAL CODE, then I contact you and we arrange for a free one-on-one lesson via SKYPE or other method.

When you introduce me to 10 new people (with their email addresses), you become an AMBASSADOR for my school.  As a STUDENT AMBASSADOR, you help me tell hundreds of people about the great language learning that happens at 301 East Las Olas on the 6th floor and on field trips and activities around the school.  To thank you for your efforts, I will send you lessons and tips (about once a month) through this group called Free English Lessons in Florida.

This will be fun.  Every month I will send a free English Lesson to the people who are STUDENT AMBASSADORS.  I hope you will share interesting questions with me and tell me about how stupid and ignorant the US Media is ... what did ignorant US people say?  "It's impossible to get ships into Russia during winter because the ports are frozen."  WHAT?!?  Ignorant US people!  What about Vladivostok?  "Buenos Aires is the capital of Brazil."  HUH?!?   (US people know almost nothing about geography, only how to get from Rome to Siena).

I invite you to call me on SKYPE but there is a long line of students waiting to talk...  steveenglishteacher.   Here is our web site to visit

go to FREEENGLISHLESSONS.com, look for the blue letters "Visit Our School Web Site" and click.  You can find the HOME page and then click on VIDEOS and FREE LESSONS for free lessons.

BUILDING BRIDGES is an interesting activity, because you can meet US teenagers and college people who know the school (such as my nieces who want to know more about other parts of the world).   You can become a BRIDGE BUILDER like Karim by sending your email address and agreeing to answer three questions each month about your country.

Did you see my videos about my interview with my neighbor Hy?  He has how many dogs?  What color are the dogs?  Send me your answers and write questions for me to ask Hy.

look for Steve McCrea FreeEnglishLessons@gmail.com and look at my videos.

Send me questions and I will create English lessons (vocabulary and grammar) to assist you in your dreams.   Thank you  for reading so much!

THIRD PROJECT:
Contact my nieces and ask them to answer questions about their cities (plus you can invite them to visit your city)

Jessica   jessicaLeighLawson@gmail.com  (She is in New York City, studying Psychology for a master's degree)

Kristen   kLawson@bu.edu  (She will be in Grenoble June-July 2009)

Olivia    oliviaLawson@sandiego.edu  (She is in San Diego, first year of university)

Be polite (especially if you are a guy...)  "Your uncle Steve is my teacher.  He wants me to practice writing questions to a U.S. person.  If it is not a problem, could you answer some questions (or ask one of your friends to answer these questions)?"

FOURTH PROJECT:  Ask Rachel to find you a Florida teenager who will write to you.  You can expand the teenager's view of the world, and you can get information about US Culture that Steve doesn't understand... their music is (c)rap.
You can find Rachel by visiting my list of friends and typing "Rachel"...  or you can write to hemingway1291j@aol.com

FIFTH PROJECT:  Connect with John Lipkin.  He is a student at University of Florida.  Do you want to know about life int he USA?  John taught Karim a lot!
jalsport88@ufl.edu   jlsport88@aol.com   John is on FACEBOOK.

Steve:   I am going to find some new studernts and I will connect them with you.

Oliver:  Okay.   Steve, I would like to say that I appreciate your work in the school.  You do a lot for students.  And I think that's the best way how to learn english.
Steve:  you are an appreciative guy. you thanked me for the field trip and you see the method behind our active teaching methods at Embassy. I agree that we can learn with and without books.
Oliver:  We can only learn from each other

An Opportunity for U.S. Teenagers...

Here is an opportunity. At the Embassy Language school are dozens of students from other countries, usually ages 20 to 25 years old, who have studied or who are studying at university. In South Florida there are dozens of teenagers who are responsible and who have a car. The international students take the bus from Fort Lauderdale to Aventura and Miami -- spending hours on the bus -- and they don't get to see much. What if responsible U.S. teenagers with cars could meet these international students? They can -- ask your son or daughter to contact Steve McCrea 954 646 8246 or by email SteveEnglishTeacher@hotmail.com and I will connect them with responsible International students. They can meet my students and together the US teenager and the responsible International student can see Miami together. What do you think?

SEVENTH PROJECT:  My Goddaughter is in Bloomington, Illinois.  You can write to her and ask her about the conditions.  She is an engineer.  Imagine the questions that you can create!  Stephan.vornle@gmail.com  She is on facebook.
================
Hey,

My first two weeks have been busy.  I have explored most of the area and found out the town is pretty small. Everything is 15 minutes away. I live on one side of the town and work is on the other. There is one major street with every big chain store imaginable on it. Bloomington is a test market for new restaurants so there are tons of fast food joints and places to eat.

Work is fun. I am working with power control systems. These are the systems that command and control any large machines that have external power control system attached to them, such as monogram machines, CAT scanners, motor drives, and machine starters. It is totally different from the breakers we made at the plant in CT. In Plainville, everything we built was mechanical and here all the panels are electrical and have to be wired.

I finally finished unpacking today. It is amazing how much junk I collected.  The apartment is nice and big. I have attached some pictures in an email to follow. I have a great view of a pond though a 6x8 foot window. The wind is crazy here. You can here it coming through all the cracks in the wall. J

Overall things are going well. Hope everything is going well.

Stephanie
