The Emrich Retreat Center at Parishfield is owned and operated by the Episcopal Diocese of
Michigan. The facility is available to all groups, religious or
secular. Located on 26 acres in rural Livingston County, Michigan,
Emrich is only 15 minutes from major freeways. Over 5,000 acres of state park land
surrounds the Center on three sides. Groups can rent one building or
several, for a few hours or for several days or weeks. The facility
consists of four buildings with overnight accommodations, a
chapel/library building, and several other buildings, such as the
caretaker's house and an office/garage. On-site amenities include a
volleyball net, basketball hoops, a fire ring, walking trails, and
access to state trails. Accommodations and meeting rooms are simple,
clean, and spacious. Buildings were built in the 1940s and 1950s and retain a rustic charm. Guest rooms have no phones or televisions, and bathrooms are shared. Rates are per building per day. A special rate
is available for those wishing to rent the entire facility.

The Chapel/Library is at the heart of the Emrich campus. Originally created from a dairy barn, the building offers two gathering places: a tile-floored, vaulted-ceiling space lit by a wall of windows featuring stained glass panels in the shape of a cross, and a cozy library with couches and a fireplace. Folding chairs are available, as is an audio-visual cart and a screen (on the Chapel side). A small kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker facilitates snacks. The building has three restrooms. Click for more information |
