About Me
  • Before joining the AT&T Labs, I was an Assistant Professor at Computer Science Department, North Dakota State University, where I had received multiple grants from NASA and NSF for my research on wireless mobility study and network design and performance optimization.

  • Before that, I earned my Ph.D. degree from the The School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering , Arizona State University. I was a member of the Optimization and Networking Research Laboratory, which is headed by Professor Guoliang Xue.

  • I have more than 70 refereed papers published/accepted in my research areas, including more than 20 publications in prestigious journals such as IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking,  IEEE Transactions on Vehicular TechnologyIEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications,   IEEE/OSA Journal of Optical Communications and NetworkingACM Wireless Networks, and ACM Mobile Networks & Applications. I have also published more than 40 papers in internationally reputable conferences such as IEEE INFOCOM, IEEE SECON, and ACM MobiHoc. I received the Best Paper Award in 2007 from IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM).
  • I have been serving on the technical committee or organization committee of many internationally reputable conferences, such as IEEE INFOCOM, IEEE GLOBECOM and IEEE ICC. Meanwhile, I have been a reviewer for many prestigious international journals, such as IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE/OSA Journal of Optical Communications and Networking, Elsevier Journal of Computer Networks.

  • With my wife and our curious pet bunny, I have lived in the West Coast (there, there, and there), the Midwest (there), and the East Coast (here and here) of the USA. I also have years experience of living with extreme weathers, from the triple-digit deadly hot Arizona to the double-digit below freezing cold North Dakota.

  • My Erdos Number is 3.
