What is greenhouse effect?
  What are greenhouse gases?

WHAT IS GREENHOUSE EFFECT? The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature that the Earth experiences because certain gases in the atmosphere (water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane, for example) trap energy from the sun. Without these gases, heat would escape back into space and Earth’s average temperature would be about 60ºF colder. Because of how they warm our world, these gases are referred to as greenhouse gases. ( epa.gov/climatechange/kids/greenhouse.html)

My opinion of what is greenhouse effect like for a example water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane and other gases that keep the Earth surface warmer. The trapping  of heat in the lower atmosphere and without the greenhouse effect the earth would not be warm for living beings and animals to live on.

(knowledge.allianz.com) My opinion is showing how the greenhouse gases is passing through the earth atmosphere and absorbed and warm the surface because the earth surface is much cooler then the sun.

www.global-greenhouse-warming.com I well say that the sun will absorded the earth surface and make it warm and then it will reflected the earth and the atmosphere.

What are greenhouse gases? Greenhouse gases  are the gases present in the earth's atmosphere which reduce the loss of heat into space and therefore contribute to global temperatures through the greenhouse effect. Greenhouse gases are essential to maintaining the temperature of the Earth; without them the planet would be so cold as to be uninhabitable. However, an excess of greenhouse gases can raise the temperature of a planet to lethal levels, as on Venus where the 90 bar partial pressure of carbon dioxide (CO2) contributes to a surface temperature of about 467 °C (872 °F). Greenhouse gases are produced by many natural and industrial processes, which currently result in CO2 levels of 380 ppmv in the atmosphere. Based on ice-core samples and records (see graphs) current levels of CO2 are approximately 100 ppmv higher than during immediately pre-industrial times, when direct human influence was negligible.( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_gas)

My opinion of what is Greenhouse gases is Greenhouse gases  keep the Earth about 33 degrees Celsius warmer. Greenhouse get heat and light from the sun, with too much Greenhouse gases in the air it would cause the Earth to get hotter. If the Earth dont have Greenhouse gases the Earth would be hot or warm it would be cold. Greenhouse gases are also short wave energy to reach the Earth surface.

  What are Peatland?

Peat is an accumulation of partially decayed vegetation matter. Peat forms in wetlands or peatlands, variously called bogs, moors, muskegs, pocosins, mires, and peat swamp forests.( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peat - 72k )

My opinion of what it is it a dry land that form to a next lands that is wet like swamp, bogs muskegs and other wetlands. They are sixty percent of wetlands and three percent of Global lands and also peatlands found in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

( www.bordnamona.com my opinion of this picture is showing when carbon came down from the atmosphere in space  it went in the peatland  and form a wetland then go back into the atmosphere.
