Improve Your Lifts With Data
Improve your lifting with the help of consistant data as engineers do to create new product. The tools and methods that I promote is a standard practice used in the engineering world. Using a visual aid to see your rate of increase can help you predict and make better judgements on your next workout.

| My name is Nathan Hering and I have been weight training for the past 14 years. I have always been a heavy country boy that realized that I need to control my weight before it gets out of hand. Both of my parents are overweight and so is my older brother. After seeing my brother become more and more overweight I knew that this was going to happen to me unless I put a stop to it. My passion for lifting started when I was at a young age and it grew even more when I saw my dad lose a lot of weigh. He lost over 65 pounds within two years. He actually looked sickly in respect to the rest of the family. My family have always been large and did not know better of what foods to eat and what exercises to do. So trying to lose weight and breaking the bad habits was very difficuly. I still have those erges to eat the wrong foods but we try to limit ourselves to once a week. The food that I currently eat today consists of whole grain breads and pastas, fruits and vegetables, chicken and fish, and smoothies to satisfy our sugar cravings. Sometimes I like to replace our desserts with fruits that we normally do not get, i.e. Mangos. Sugar is the biggest thing that hurts anyone which is trying to lose weight. If you ever take the time to look at the amount that you take in for sugar, you will realize that if you take that out completely you will see fat lose within the first two weeks. It might be small because I am sure that you will be sneaking some sugary snacks from somewhere i.e. work, a reward, or having a "healthy" treat that really has the same amount of sugar that a candy bars does. I don't want to bore you with my food intake and my feelings on what to eat. You came to this site becuase you want to gain muscle consistantly. With data to support and reflect your hard efforts. My BackgroundI graduated college with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. I was a mechanical designer for two years and also a lean process coordinator. Now am currently employed by and outboard engine manufacturer as the Engineering Standards Coordinator. I have been with this company for that last two years with hopes to become the companies first fulltime Systems Engineer. Weight Lifting DataThe excel file that I will be explaining follows engineering practices to review and analize your lifting data. With this tool you will be able to accuratly increase your lifting weight at the right time. This will help in eliminating any quess work done in incrementing your lifts from the last time to the next. Besides the excel, I will also provide a work instruction to teach you how to use the excel and also how to write down notes in your paper journal to help you document your lifting experience. This will allow for you to then place accurate information into the excel and see your progress. Previous Page | Next Page | Home Page |
