Here's where I'll post the daily results of the water experiment.
The experiment is done! The stove plants grew a total of 1.9 inches. The microwave plants grew a total of 3.9 inches! As far as the difference in water, the tap water is worst. The total cistern was 2.2". The total tap was 1.2". The total bottle was 2.4". (but the cistern water was starting to smell funny...) My Conclusion: It doesn't matter if the water is boiled by stove or microwave, I'm still not drinking the water out of the cistern! So much for the microwave. Little BM is flying high! Some of the flowers are done! So, the height is going to be less. Right again. They're doing well again, with only a bump in the road from yesterday. Yeah, so I was right. Turning them around and shutting the window on them was not good, so I've decided to leave them in the original configuration. They are growing up the window screen, so when I measure them, I'll place them leaning up against the ruler (otherwise, they'll get shorter). After day
four's watering and measurements, I decided to turn all the plants 180
degrees around in the windowsill. That way, they stop growing sideways
for sunlight (phototropic, if you needed a new word). The measurements
might all be skewed from the directional change starting on day 5. Day 1 average: 7.6" Day 2 average: 7.8" Day 3 averave: 7.9" Day 4 average: 7.9" Day 5 average: 7.8" Day 6 average: 8.1" Day 7 average: 8.1" Day 8 average: 8.3" Day 9 average: 8.4" Day 10 average: 8.6"
