Wee Hyong obtained his PhD, MSc, BSc (Hons) from the School of Computing (SoC), National University of Singapore (NUS).

He was an ex-Instructor in the Computer Science Department, NUS. He graduated with a  PhD (Computer Science).

His research interests includes adaptive query processing and optimization issues in generic progressive join algorithms. He is also interested in query processing issues in P2P systems and high-dimensional data streams.

He was also awarded the  Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for SQL Server for 3 award cycle.

Aug 2000 - Feb 2002, MSc (Computer Science), under the Accelerated Masters Program (AMP), at School of Computing, National University of Singapore, GPA 4.0/4.0

Jun 2000 - Aug 2000, Visiting Graduate Student, Cornell University, focused on extending Predator to support a threaded symmetric hash join, and introduced interesting order into Predator's query optimizers. In addition, focused on new operators for Cougar V2.
