The City of Westfield announced that they will hold a photo contest for Westfield residents. The photographs submitted may be used within the City’s new website (scheduled to be released sometime this fall), posters, and/or other City promotional materials. The contest winner will be given $500. The City is urging residents to submit photos of Westfield‐specific scenery (i.e. houses, neighborhoods, parks, trails, fields, or aerial photography) or events (i.e. family gatherings, outdoor or other sporting events) that help to represent Westfield or Westfield families in a positive manner.

The deadline to submit photos will be June 15. All photos can be submitted electronically by emailing stsmith@westfield.in.gov. The City prefers to receive these pictures in jpeg file format (1280 x 1024 at 72 PPI) or better resolution. If you are unsure about your file size or resolution, just email the City the photo and you will be notified if any changes are necessary in order to qualify for official content entry. Please be sure to include your name and phone number along with the photo attached to the email. The winner will be notified by June 29th and
announced on our website July 1, 2010.

“We are excited about this contest because we hope to obtain pictures that will help tell the Westfield story,” says Westfield Mayor Andy Cook. “Who better than the citizens of this community to provide what they believe to be a photographic representation of Westfield beauty and pride,” says Cook.

Please note: The City shall not be responsible for the content of photos submitted. All photos submitted through the City of Westfield email shall become the property of the City of Westfield.
