Voices from the Past is a unique way to learn about Westfield’s history through the lives of former citizens. Attendees will be guided on a journey into the past through the Anti-Slavery Cemetery in Asa Bales Park, Hadley Park, and the newly rededicated Old Friends Cemetery Park. You will be met by Westfield Playhouse actors portraying locals with interesting stories to tell, such as Westfield’s founding fathers Asa Bales and Simon Moon, two Civil War Soldiers, Martha Doan, and more. With the cooperation of the Westfield-Washington Historical Society, the event will provide plenty of fascinating stories and historical sites along the route, making Voices from the Past an exciting and educational event for all.
