Thefts from Vehicles

The morning of 5/16/11 the Westfield Police Department (WPD) investigated approximately 10-12 incidents of thefts from vehicles, which occurred in the area of  Grassy Knoll and also Azalea Court, in the Grassy Knoll subdivision. The thefts occurred overnight.  Items stolen include, electronics, purses, and briefcases. Vehicles were believed left unlocked. Some of the stolen items were later recovered within the same general area.

Prior to the reported thefts, at approximately 1:20AM a resident of the 3300 block of Azalea Ct reported 2-suspicious subjects, walking between houses. The suspects were wearing, dark pants, and dark colored hoodie (hooded sweatshirt); 1-possibly black or navy; the other possibly green. The suspects were not located.
