Pond Pro Workshop - How to Manage Stormwater Detention Ponds

Program Information
The Pond Pro Workshop is an ideal opportunity for homeowners, homeowners associations, golf and park maintenance personnel and others involved in managing ponds to receive reliable information and help with pond management problems. Professionals from a variety of fields will share information crucial to managing ponds ecologically for improved water quality, storm water management, recreation, fish, wildlife and aesthetics. The workshop consists of four evening sessions covering two topics per night.

Agenda
The program will be held on four consecutive Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30. Topics will include:
Thursday 1/19 – Detention Pond Function and Design & Watershed Basics
Thursday 1/26 – Aquatic Weed Identification and Control & Fishery Management & Aeration
Thursday 2/2– Native Plant Buffers & Wildlife Management
Thursday 2/9—Liability/ Pond Safety & Erosion Control and Inspections

Location: The Indianapolis Sailing Club has volunteered to host the program. The address is: 11325 Fall Creek Road
Cost: The cost for the four sessions is $40 per household or HOA. Please submit the registration form and fee by January 13th. No refunds after 1/17. (Registration covers up to 2 people.)
