The reconstruction of the 156th Street Bridge over the William Knight Regulated Drain is scheduled to begin this month.  As a result, 156th Street, between Oakridge Road and US 31, will be closed starting on or after Monday September 20, 2010 and reopening on or before Monday November 8, 2010. 

A detour route will be signed and will take motorists to 161st Street for the duration of the project.  I have attached the detour route.  According to City Officials, the new two-lane bridge should help immensely with traffic flow and ultimately help decrease accidents.
