How to impress……. Here are a few tips on what the judges are looking for…… General Appearance: How does the garden look overall? Does it look tidy? Does it look full? Continuity: How long will the plants/ flowers last? Will they all flower and die at the same time? Will different plants continue to show colour and life throughout the year? Variety: Is there a good variety of plants or are they all the same? Weed Control: Are there any weeds? If so, to what degree? Pests & Diseases: Are plants covered in insects or affected by disease?

The forum is to give young people the opportunity to have their say on the type of activities they would like to see provided and issues they face living in their neighbourhoods.
Swan would like to hear from you, we are arranging meetings locally with young people. Currently, forums have been set up in Basildon at Craylands Youth Club and Swan House Foyer
