Requirements to enter Argentina
Tourists entering Argentina from neighbouring countries only require a valid identity card to enter. Visitors from other countries must present a valid passport, with or without a visa, depending on the country of origin. The maximum stay allowed for all tourists is 90 days.
 

 
Tourist Visa
 

For stays of up to 90 days, citizens of the following countries do not require a Visa: European Union, United States of America and the following Latin American countries: Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru and Venezuela.

 

For all other countries we advice you enquire about a visa at an Argentine Embassy or Consulate.

 

Requirements when applying for an Argentine visa:

  • Valid passport or other travel document recognized by Argentina.
  • Visa Application Form (provided by the Consulate).
  • Face photograph (4 by 4 cm).
  • Enter and return ticket.
  • Payment of consular fee.
  • Proof of valid economic means for your stay in Argentina

Important

Citizens from the US, Canada and Australia must pay a “reciprocity fee”. This fee is NOT a visa since Argentina does not require a Visa from citizens of these countries visiting Argentina for tourism or on business.

Remember the meeting will take place in the city of Puerto Iguazú, which limits with Brazil and Paraguay. These countries have their own requirements for entry. If you plan to travel to these countries make sure you are informed of their entering requirements in order to avoid any inconveniences. 
 
 

Requirements to enter Brazil
All foreigners require a valid passport to enter Brazil but the requirement of a visa depends on the country of origin. It is known as the “reciprocity condition”. For instance, US citizens are required a visa because they require it from Brazilian citizens entering the USA. The Ministry of Foreign Relations authorizes the visa, which can be applied for in the Brazilian Consulate of the country of origin. The charged fee depends on the country of origin.

Requirements to enter Paraguay

 

Citizens entering Paraguay from all Mercosur countries in addition to Chile and Bolivia only require a valid Passport or National Identity Card. Citizens of all other countries will have to enquire in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

The following countries do not require a visa to enter Paraguay:
