Airport Information
If you are arriving in Argentina through International Airport Ezeiza (Buenos Aires) and must make it onto a connecting flight to Iguazú flying out of Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery (Buenos Aires), you can arrange for a shuttle service to take you to Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery. When you exit the baggage claim area into the general public area of the EZE terminal, you will immediately see several desks to your left offering "remis" (hired car) service. Manuel Tienda León is one of them, and is frequently recommended.

Allow one hour to Jorge Newbery, although usually it's closer to 45 minutes. There's also van service by Tienda León and others; it's much cheaper than a car if you're traveling alone, but if there are two or more the car quickly becomes competitive or even a better deal. Whatever you do, do NOT go out to the curb and flag a cab, or accept a hired car from someone other than people behind those desks.

Transportation in Puerto Iguazú
The relatively small size of Iguazú makes it easy to find your way around the city, most places being within walking distance. Public transportation system in the city consists of taxis and buses or “colectivos”. If you're travelling on a budget, or even if you aren't on a budget, buses are a great way to go. The local bus company, El Práctico, offers many different routes one of which gets to the Amerian Hotel. The fare is 1.5 ARS (around 0.5 U$D).
Getting from Puerto Iguazú (city) to Iguazú National Park and Iguazú Falls is straightforward. You can either get a cab or take the El Práctico, which runs every 30 min between 7:10 – 19:40 (from the city to the waterfalls) and between 7:45 – 20:15 (from the waterfalls to the city). The bus going to the waterfalls leaves from The Three Borders Landmark, a few feet from the Amerian Hotel. The fare is 5.00 ARS (approximately 1.50 U$D).
