For Students

Hi WDA students!

The 2009 WDA conference will be here before you know it! I would encourage those of you who would like to attend this event, to book your accommodations early through the conference website. I am assuming that there will be several students sharing accommodations and for those wanting a room with 2 beds, it will be important to make reservations soon to ensure that you have this option available to you.

In response to student demand, I have established a yahoo group chat that will allow you to connect with other students to share accommodations, rides to and from the airport, etc. See below for information on how to join this chat group.

We have several student activities planned for this conference including a casual student mixer on the beach with games such as volleyball and frisbee, a student/mentor reception where you will have the opportunity to obtain useful information from several different organizations and meet various professionals in the field (no sign-up required this year), and a student workshop geared toward career-building.

I am very excited about this year’s events and look forward to meeting all of you in August!

Warm regards,

Terra Kelly
